Hi, my name is Cheryl Charming (aka Miss Charming™)
When I’m not performing on Broadway, lingerie modeling, or turning down marriage proposals from handsome billionaires, I attend support group meetings for compulsive liars.
I’ve been in the F&B industry since 1976. In high school I worked as a pizza waitress then quickly progressed to cocktail waitress, barback, service bartender, bartender, then head bartender. With a penchant for travel, I tended bar many places around America, a cruise ship in the Caribbean, and Walt Disney World. While working at WDW I became the bar trick/bar magic instructor for Disney’s F&B program, Quest for the Best.
I got the Internet bug in 1998 and began exploring other cocktail avenues then started my popular and info-rich website www.misscharming.com. This connected me to other like spirited minds worldwide. I’ve authored 14 books , 12 of which are bar & cocktail related giving me the current claim-to-fame as having the most bar & cocktail books published in the world (gonna keep that title as long as I can, lol!).
I’ve been a collector of cocktails seen in film for a very long time. I head up the Cocktail Cinema Facebook Group and also have a huge collection on my Silver Screen Cocktail page.
I also host events for Tales of the Cocktail, have lost count of the cocktail related articles I’ve written, create bar resumes and bar biz cards, and cocktail consult for anyone that will hire me. My latest endeavor is a fun drink trivia app called Miss Trivia.
I’m also a Graphic Designer (studied at Ringling College of Art & Design), Entrepreneur, Magician, Mac & iPhone Lover, Scorpio, and Olive Stuffer.
I’m also a member of The Bartenders Guild and The Museum of the American Cocktail.
Currently I live in the French Quarter in New Orleans.
